These 7 actors perform roles of characters that most of us grew up reading.
They were raw yet promising, each one shined on screen and created an impact for their viewers. Each showed emotion as well as skills. Kudos to Zoya for coming up with this fresh ensemble.
The other supporting cast which included Suhas Ahuja, Tara Sharma, Alyy Khan, Kamal Sidhu, Luke Kenny, Vinay Pathak were decent.
PLOT ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
As we all know, The Archies is an official Indian adaption of Archies Comics.
Zoya Akhtar didn’t leave any stone unturned; from the sets, to the costumes, to the actors who were so similar to the comic book. It was like we were transported to a real life Riverdale.
Storyline wise, the first half was weaker, the second half picks up really well. Direction wise, Zoya has justified it but yes it’s probably her weakest directorial. It was probably a great choice of releasing it on OTT instead of the cinemas.
SOUNDTRACK ⭐️⭐️⭐️
The soundtrack composed by Ankur Tiwari and Shankar Ehsaan Loy is average.
“Sunoh” is catchy. No favorites.
Overall The Archies is a light hearted musical which gets you all nostalgic. A decent watch for an Archies fan.
